Educational The Educational Market has always been a consistent
source of work for our company. Since 1992, we have completed 95 new or
remodeled educational projects ranging in size from 20,000 square feet and
smaller to more than 325,000 square feet. Subsequently, we have developed
a well-trained staff from the office to the field which understands the
various aspects involved with this type of construction. Educational projects present a unique
set of challenges. Schedules are often compact and most completion dates
determine whether the new school year will begin on time. High-tech
communication and life safety systems require individual attention to
ensure readiness for state inspections and project completion.
Remodel/additions projects consist of multiple construction phases which
require our work to continue while school is in session. Over the years we
have structured our company to help us meet these challenges. Because we self perform on all low-voltage systems,
we have adequate time for multiple tests and reprogramming prior to state
inspections. Working closely with other trades as well as the design team
aids in overcoming coordination challenges. Keeping open lines of
communication is essential in contributing to the team concept that is
prevalent for this and other types of construction. The diverse electrical
requirements of today’s school buildings prepare our foremen, electricians
and helpers to make seamless transitions to projects in other markets.
